This Early Literacy resource is comprised of blackline masters. Reproduction rights are granted to a single teacher. The sheets in this kit are cream-coloured to make them easily distinguishable. This will not affect the quality of the photocopies.

The Picture Word Wall series teaches 104 high-frequency sight words and 104 common word families simultaneously, in an original manner. This second kit contains 26 alphabetical lessons.

Each Lesson Brick features the key word in a delightfully illustrated, four-line verse. Each verse teaches a common phonogram/word family in its rhyme. Students recite lessons as chants.

Follow-up worksheets are designed to make charming little Balanced Booklets for students to collect and reread. Included are several reading, writing, printing and drawing exercises. Students learn a total of six word family members per lesson. Double-sided photocopying is required.

Smaller bricks are used for word wall display, an important strategy that gives abstract sight words the exposure they require. The accompanying illustration provides a learning advantage. Using yarn to trace key words is recommended for stimulating tactile intelligence.

Kits contain a teacher's guide and photocopy masters for constructing components. Reading Buddies can contribute by assembling booklets.
