"Torch "n" Bank"
Fusionist oil on canvas
24" x30"
I was doing my volunteer work photographing the 6 St. Joseph House Christmas Fundrasier. I go station to station snapping the other volunteers. I had wanted to be at City Hall around 4pm to get a 3D pic of the Torch but the shift didn't end until 6. By chance when I came out of the Bloor-Yonge station
everyone was waiting for the Torch which had been delayed by protests.
It wasn’t until I started the painting that I realized RBC was the main sponsor.
Ironically later during the G20 it was an RBC bank in Ottawa that was torched.
But when I took the 3D picture no one was protesting the very bank on that corner where the Torch was to be exchanged.
Archival prints from $50 (4x6) to full size.
